This Gran Panatella from one of Cuba's most elegant brands, has a superb burn, which is quite rare for this format. It starts with lemon/citrus touches, before turning to a well balanced, complex and subtle mix of honey and earthy coco. I have always liked the discrete elegance of La Gloria and there are no exceptions here. For Connoisseurs only

Created directly from the grand tradition of
Havana cigars, this Churchill is very, very generous, to say the least! Your palate will be excited by so many deep, rich and creamy flavors. Cocoa waffs off this cigars wrapper and box, making it
titillate before lighting up. Its construction is worth noting, identical to the Partagas 8-9-8,a three layered structure that releases the various changes in flavors with a masterful
evenness. I remember being in Ireland on a walking trip and stopping at a village pub to eat. I ate some piping hot Irish stew and soda bread with a nice pint of local
Guinness beer. I was so pleased with this meal I offered one of these Medaille d Or No2 to the cook and said to him he should suggest to his clients to finish of his wonderful stew with one of these beautiful cigars! After smoking it he agreed!

This Panatella is one of the most elegant cigars produced on the Island. Very often recommended for women, it is also an excellent companion during the apéritif. The regularity of the burn allows for a full development of the honey and nut flavors. Finesse! Style! A real looker!

This is the perfect beginners cigar. Very fresh and close to a Corona, this Panatella is also a great day-time cigar. Coffee, wood and flowers are the dominant features of this modern cigar, which is very regular sporting a touchable soft wrapper. Two eggs, a couple of rashers of fresh Danish bacon and one of these to finish breakfast off, or this Panatella goes just as well with a chilled Californian white wine!

In limited production this is a hard cigar to come by. The lightest Churchill I know of, Tainos has a creative mix of mild floral, tropical fruits, and precious wood flavors with a light tobacco background. I have a strange feeling the Tainos is turning into a
Havana 'Classico'! One to look out for the future.
